Re: Pick the MAC - Week 3
After UMass' first two weeks, I think it would be fun predicting not the winner of the game but the margin of victory. After they lost to Indiana by 39 points, I say the MOV is in the 30s, so I'll say 35. Michigan can do far, far worse to UMass and win by 50-some but they will call off the dogs early, and Indiana needed something, anything to build some excitement, even a five possession beatdown of a brand new FBS team. I say Indiana beat UMass by more than Michigan does.

Eastern Michigan at Purdue - EMU hasn't looked good thus far.
Northern Illinois at Army - NIU has looked good. Don't like that this is at Army but NIU is the better team.
Western Michigan at Minnesota - It'll be a fairly close game though.
Massachusetts at Michigan - By 35. Are we playing that game now? Though I think if Pagel comes back UMass will be a lot closer in games.
Morgan State at Akron - I think, haha. This will be close.
Miami at Boise State - Its at Boise and Miami has not played well thus far.
Ohio at Marshall - Marshall has some talent and speed, but OU is just better.
Bowling Green at Toledo - I really wish I could go to this but the Xbox/ESPN 3 is going to have to work since tickets are $34 (comparison - I'm paying $46 for two tickets to sit in Row B next weekend at the Reds game, even after fees). I like our chances though. Their defense has been awful, and they aren't going to get as much of a home field advantage with all of our fans there. I, like others have said, think we've held some of our playbook back for this game. We've just been too vanilla thus far. 35-21 good guys.
Ball State at Indiana - Upset (?) of the week. Indiana just lost their QB for the season and Ball State is solid.
