1100 AM WTAM in Cleveland had Chryst on the air today talking about the decision and the upcoming season.

I have to say I like the idea of the game at Ford Field. It seems to be the most central location and that venue is awesome! I was blown away at the MCB. OTOH, attendance will be watched closely and I'm not really sure how well it would do despite who was playing. Time will tell...

I'll attend a BG game at Ford Field any and every time. In all honesty if BG isn't in the MAC title game, I highly doubt I'll drive up to see it.

I like the fact that the MAC has decided to switch the championship game to a nutral site. I think giving one team home field advantage was a little unfair. However, I disagree with putting the game at Ford Field. The MAC already has a bowl game at that site. I think the RCA Dome in Indianapolis would have been a better location.
If you go to Toledo or you like Toledo, you suck!!!

The best crowds the MAC has ever gotten for the basketball tournament are at Gund Arena.
If this is true, they should play the MACC at the Brown's Stadium. I think the MAC could still get a good crowd out there to watch the game.

I agree with those who think Cleveland would be a better site. I don't like the probability that a MAC team could play two games in the same month at Ford Field. It kills a bit of the thrill in playing in a bowl game.

But, from the looks of things, Cleveland wasn't even interested.

My money says they were concerned about the damage an additional game in December could wreak on the grass field there,

Ford Field???Mmmmmm toasty!

Some of you fail to realize how freakin cold it gets around here. Last years attendance of BG vs Miami would've been alot better if not for the cold. The UT game was way below normal. When you combine BG wind with late Nov. temps it spells attendance disasters anyway. So I'm totally cool with Ford Field, its a freakin indoor stadium where we'll be warm. :D

BAAAAHHHH!

Football was meant to be played in the cold, none of this pansy ass crap! I HATE domes. I hate nexTurf, I hate fieldTurf, I hate astroTurf. GRASS BABY. If people are too afraid of getting cold then watch on TV. Real fans sit outside in the snow, sleet, and hail and watch their team. They have snot-cicles hanging out of their noses, while the beer warms them from the inside out. They look across the field to see a collective 40,000 breaths coming out of every other real fan's mouth. They were out there early enough to right F*** Toledo in the snow of the golf course hill.

I will still go to Ford Field if BG plays. I may even go if other teams play. I will NEVER be happy about the concept of indoor football. You wanna see football the right way? Go to Cleveland, Buffalo, Green Bay, or Denver in December/January. Cold weather is as much a part of football as the ball. I just don't get why anyone would prefer to watch a game in a dome...*blech* Last year's Motor City Bowl was my first ever live domed football game and all I can say was I'm glad my favorite teams don't sink to the level of domed stadiums...

I note its a three-year deal with Ford Field. Enough time to get the idea going, but if it doesn't work, we can bail.

I like Ford Field. I also likea cold beer every now and then, but there isn't a thread on that topic right now and frankly, I don't feel motivated enough to start one.

Hey I dont' necessaryly mind the cold either. I was born here in BG and lived around here my whole life, yet I never get used to the sometimes extreme cold we get. Yeah, a game at Packers staduim or Denver or Foxborough Mass. in late Nov. or Dec. arent' bad cuz the entire stadiums are enclosed to block 70%-75% of the wind, AND you got 80,000 bodies right next to you heating you up. We dont' have that at the Doyt. I hear that the Farmers Almanac is saying that were really gonna get it this winter.
