$10 a ticket is an amazing price for a bowl game. We got two rooms at the Alumni hotel for Thurs and Fri nights. We have a family gathering Wed the 26th so we'll be driving a little more than half way and getting a room for the night. Then getting up Thur the 27th and driving straight to the stadium. It was the best I could do to get to the game.
Gonna take in the sights all day Friday with the Freaklings.
Now I just have to let my manager at work know I won't be in at all the week of Christmas.

Mike,
Where did you find out the hotel info.? Hopefully, we'll stay at my son's place in Alexandria, but I might have my whole crew along with me, totaling 9-10 (not sure on Joyce yet, due to imminent granddaughter status). Plus my Alexandria son has 2 boys who'll go; not sure about his wife yet in terms of game.

Lady Byron and I are still discussing. I'm afraid the Princess will have hoops practice over the holiday. . . Need to make the decision.
Having the family discussion about the bowl game and Washington DC with my wife and kids I will quote my 11 year old with basketball camp on the morning of the 29th,"I'll skip camp for that".

I hear ya, it's not that much of a slam dunk for us.
It's school hoops and she's the team captain plus she's not hip on the drive to DC.

See the post above from the wise Lord Byron. Official site. Military Bowl special rate is $109 but Friday night it's $119. Still, quite a bargain for DC.

Thanks Mike (and L.B.), I DID find it after looking thru stuff again..We may still be staying at my youngest son's place in Alexandria, but it depends on how many of the "Blue Crew" are coming from Cleve. area...could be as many as NINE of us and I doubt that my son has room for that many at his place...but he might find a hotel in Alexandria if I ask him to.

Is everyone picking up their tickets, both for the game, and the alumni function, from will call? I thought there would be an option to mail; my paranoia makes me want them in my hand even if I can pick them up, but the only option when I ordered them on the BG site was for will call. That's fine, just wanted to make sure everyone else had the same experience.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp
