San Jose's punter

Post by zete »

After making a complete fool of himself on national television, for his display of wild behavior after a no call on incidental contact, San Jose’s punter was seen being escorted to the locker room /hospital for apparent chest X rays. Can anyone follow up or comment on what was a rather bizarre scene?

That was funny.. He knocked himself out of the game. I suggest he take an anger management course at SJSU... lol..

Didn't he get a punt blocked after that? I figured he got injured on that play...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

He got injured after that traide when he sat down on one of the benches and hit it, at least to me when I saw the replay of that it looks like thats how he injured himself. There backup punter was in when we blocked the punt

I thought the announcers said he may have been injured violently throwing his helmet down...which was off camera I believe.

Anyway, after we blocked that punt we seemed to stop rushing the other punter. I thought we should have kept aggressively trying to block every kick after that..oh well...

Also, whoever coached Schmiedebusch into being a "punter" this year instead of a "kicker" needs a new line of work. Just let the kid kick the damn ball!

That tirade should be #1 on Sportscenter's Not Top 10.

There was something on Twitter later where he told a reporter/fan/friend/mailman that he had a bout with pneumonia or something and it built up in his lungs. I call BS, but what do I know?

Still didn't change him looking like a complete AZZ on national TV.

Agreed, or I was wondering if he was injured. Because he sure didn't look like he was really putting his foot into it. Every one looked like a pooch kick.

And I thought we had retired that stupid run to the side kick after we got a zillion punts blocked several years ago. He ran directly into the rusher on that block. If he just stays in the center of the field it never gets blocked!

Yep in college where you can release down the field immediately to cover punts just kick the crap out of it.

Sick or hurt he looked OK during that tantrum.

I heard they thought he cracked a rib when he threw his tantrum.

I saw the ambulance in the tunnel with the lights on and leaving. I was wondering who got injured.
