I kid you not, there's already some betting lines for week one. According to the pros we'll be under a touchdown underdogs in our opening. Let's prove them wrong!!

BEAT TULSA!!

Tulsa does have a killer backfield coming back but they lost 18 SR's from last year's team. They must replace 7 All Conference USA players. In addition, they lost 3 of 5 starters on the OL and their entire front 4 on D to graduation. If anything, with our experience on both sides of the line, we should dominate in the trenches.

We need to beat these jokers like a drum...cuz in 2 of the 3 games in the series, we weren't even close. We're 0-3 against them lifetime.

Finally, we need to come flying outta the gate in a BiG way to get the season off right. Protect the house and BEAT TULSA.

118 days and counting...GO FALCONS!!!!!!!

A win in the opener sets the tone for the season IMO. With the talent we have coming back we better be running on all cylinders right out of the gates.

If you guys beat Tulsa which I really doubt because of the giant gap of talent between us and MAC schools then you should have a good season. Tulsa will have another 10+ win season this year, we have had 4 10+ win seasons in the last 6 years with four different starting qbs, what other school has accomplished that?

I don't know jack about Tulsa, and really couldn't care less, but I find this comment laughable when the MAC just had the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft. BG's one drafted player was one more than Tulsa had.

Maybe Tulsa didn't lose anybody, don't know, don't care. Maybe they're just a wealth of talent that was too young last year and is going to break out this year...don't know, and again don't care.

What I do know is that Tulsa hasn't had an NFL player drafted since 2011 and has only had 4 taken in the last decade. That doesn't really scream to me that they're anymore talented than a MAC team. BG has had 5 players taken in that same time span. They may be a good team, I know they've had some on field success, but to act as if they're so much more talented than a MAC school is just plain ignorant.

Well...Tulsa is in Oklahoma. No one has ever accused the people from the Sooner state of being overly intellectual.

Just curious why shouldn't I be cocky? Tulsa owns you. The series is like 141 to 37. If you know nothing about Tulsa then that is your own fault , apparently you are stuck in your little MAC world where a team beats a bunch of crap teams and gets lucky enough to make a BCS bowl where it gets destroyed by a crap ACC team which then makes the rest of us non bcs programs who actually play high caliber football look like a joke.

There was a good Colbert Report thing years back on replacing Missouri with Texas. The downside? Arkansas no longer exists. But what is Arkansas good for anyway? It's useful for ... making Oklahoma look good.

Perhaps cocky was a bad choice of words, i meant dickhead. At the end of the day you're Tulsa and in conference USA, nobody cares about your team or conference either.

Yeah because Conference USA has been filled with such football powerhouses like Memphis, Tulane, UAB, UTEP, and Rice

All conferences have their bad teams, don't try and downplay the MAC's accomplishment this past season of getting a team to a BCS bowl just because the oh so mighty Conference USA has never sent a team to the BCS. And that "crap" ACC team in Florida State would have done the same thing to every CUSA member that it did to NIU.

Oh definitely. FSU was a bit inconsistent on the season, but they were far from crap...hell they only lost 2 games all year. They were far more talented than most people realize. Hell they just had 5 players picked in the top 50 picks of the NFL draft, with 11 players drafted overall. That's a TON of talent. NIU was good. They were a VERY good MAC team. But no MAC team was competing with that FSU squad. Just like no CUSA team was likely going to compete with that FSU squad. When FSU did play lower tier competition they destroyed them...they lost a 1 point game to a mediocre NC State, but other than that they had a pretty damn good season.

I don't think Tulsa would have fared any better than NIU did.
