And again we lose the close game to a good team....cán we get Brandon back to coach the games against the good teams?

Glad you're confident. There's nothing in Clawson's history that says he'll lead this team to an East title or the MAC title game, let alone win it. In fact: his record says the opposite.

I have many many doubts ....I think we have another 7-5 or 8-4 get to a howl and lose year going here.

Overall this game was a massive bummer... Great comeback and to be honest some pretty questionable calls in the first half. I am a Falcon and will always be a falcon...but would sometimes like to win the big game or at least make the big play when it counts...I'm drunk and disappointed :drinkers:

PS: when I was a freshman in 03/04 it seemed that the mac was on the rise and that bowling green was going to be a perpetual BCS buster...I would like to see that again but time and time again find myself wondering if those days are long gone.

I still think this Falcon team is better than last year's team, but it's kind of a faith-based opinion at this point. Toledo was better today.

This team IS better than last year's -- I don't think there's any doubt about that if you're talking about talent on both sides of the ball.

What's disappointing is the fact that this coaching staff has yet to win a meaningful game in its tenure at BG. Not one.

My hope is that the new athletic director is taking note of what this staff has done and its failures whenever the team has faced a really meaningful game.

If the team fails to win the MAC East, as I suspect it will under Clawson, my hope is that he won't be afraid to make a change. This coaching staff has had enough time to turn the corner, and they haven't been able to do it.

Being winless against UT and unable to win against division teams in meaningful games (like Kent last year) and winless in bowl games as well, all add up to mediocrity.

I want and expect BG football to be better than that, and there's no reason they can't find a coach who can (1) beat Toledo regularly and (2) get this team to the MAC title game and win it, and (3) win bowl games.

Yeah it might be slightly better but we should be WAY better. Great adjustments  this is what eventually happens when you start every game pissing down your leg... 2 games in a row.

This a team built to beat losing teams. They have no killer instinct. 5 years and we still can't beat decent teams.

This is the 2nd game in a row where at the end, I have wanted to punch one of our receivers in the face.

I'd say more but I'm absolutely furious right now and I know better.

Good game Falcons, didn't think The Rockets were going to get a W. See you next year.

I was at work today and didn't get to watch the game. I'm watching it now on replay. I got pissed and decided to see what the final was to see if I wanted to keep watching. I'm in the 3rd quarter now.

All I can say, up to that point in the game, is CATCH THE BALL!!! Also, how does Cam Truss get called for a personal foul when he was being held? And lastly, I didn't even see the false start on our 4th and 1. Did anybody else?

I may add my observations throughout my watching of the game, but wow. Also, didn't the UT corner lead with the crown of his helmet on that hit on Johnson? I thought so.

WOW. That was depressing.

I'm glad the refs started calling some things.

Joplin!!!!!!! I swear he lives to drop the important passes.

How did Gabe Martin get hurt? Just curious.

By the way, did their back push our grab Joplin on that long pass on our last drive? They never showed a good slow motion replay of it. It sure looked to me like he made enough contact to effect the catch...which still should have been made BTW.

Yes, he did. The back swatted Joplin in the chest with his arm before the ball arrived. Easily a second before, and you could see Joplin be affected by that. But, he HAS to catch those.

This game was lost when the team inflatable tunnel blew out of the stadium.
