Ronnie Moore

Post by BGSUFanatic7 »

I'm still curious as to why Ronnie Moore was essentially no factor in this game. He was out there for maybe 5 offensive plays. This after an incredible performance. I'm not buying that it was "too cold" for him. He played on a lot of special teams and the EMU game was at worst just as cold as yesterday. Has anyone heard anything?

That was a head scratcher yesterday. I must have asked this question out loud 10 times yesterday. I hope a media member asks in the press conference this week. Friday night will be an "all hands on deck" scenario so I would certainly expect to see one of our most dynamic playmakers involved. I'm excited to see him play on an indoor fast surface like Ford Field.

Yeah I don't get it either. Condtions were worse at EMU with the wind. The week before didn't they move Burbrink out of the slot because of Jackson's injury and put Moore there? My only guess is they started Jackson over Moore and moved Burbrink back in the slot. Still don't get it because Moore brings "Moore" to the table than either of them. He should've at least been in there more but I'm glad it worked out with Joplin going off in the 2nd half.

Why the coaches don't have a "package" designed exclusively for Ronnie Moore blows my mind. Fastest/maybe most elusive guy on the field. Excited to watch him over the next couple years!

I was at the game and surprised by how little playing time he saw. As best as I could tell he looked fine. At one point one of the coaches was giving him very specific instructions face to face but other than that he had very little role that I could see. He did serve as a decoy for one of the plays that went downfield to a tight end. You could defintiely tell that they were faking a screen to him that Buffalo had to honor.

I think Moore got a lot of PT against EMU due to Heath Jackson's injury. It was also a game where I think the coaches felt comfortable using him knowing it was an inferior opponent and any possible mistakes by him wouldn't have a big impact. He had a special teams tackle against Buffalo and as Pavan said above, he was out on some offensive plays but was mainly just a decoy.
