Bayer's a Ram!
TE Alex bayer has signed as an Udfa with the Rams. According to his statement, he had 10 or so offers. In some ways, these guys are in better situations than late round draftees...yhey can name their own team assuming more than 1 offer. Good luck, Alex!

And Tyler Beck signed an undrafted free agent contract with New England. I really thought Bayer had a chance to be drafted. Hell the TE from UMass got drafted.

Truss and Oulett are camp invites.....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Bayer's a Ram!
What is the distinction between udfa and camp invite.............sort of like a schollie vs a walk on? One's under contract and the other is not?
Re: Bayer's a Ram!
Udfa players will usually get a signing bonus and are part of the roster until they get cut during or after training camp. If they make the final 53 they'll make league minimum for as long as they're on the roster.
Camp invite players are not under contract and are basically going through tryouts to earn an udfa type contract, they won't be around for actual training camp...usually they will bring a handful of guys to compete for the final one or two roster spots going into training camp. Also because they're not under contract if they're at one team as a camp invitee they could possibly get called and signed as an udfa to any other team if there were interest.

Re: Bayer's a Ram!
We had a safety get a camp invite too.
Re: Bayer's a Ram!
We usually have 1-2 per year but has there ever been this many in one senior class? The depth is exceptional.
