Incredibly talented team

Post by Globetrotter »

I don't know if I have been excited about the talent on one BG Roster since 2004ish. We have so many guys who I could see being stars it's hard to wrap my head around.

QB Matt Johnson 6-0 221 Jr® James Knapke 6-2 220 So® Nolan Dieter 6-2 186 Jr® Clayton Nicholas 6-3 221 So® Cody Callaway 6-1 189 Fr James Morgan 6-4 210 R
Johnson is a stud, Callaway was a great get, Nicholas is a Texas Tech transfer and Morgan is a 4* recruit...doesn't count yet but WOW.

RB Travis Greene 5-10 183 Jr® Andre Givens 5-9 189 Jr® Fred Coppet 5-9 189 So Jamel Martin 5-10 195 Sr® Brandon English 5-8 192 Fr William Houston 6-0 262 So Patric Hannon 5-11 230 Fr®
RB went from what will we do without our stud to I can't even remember his name. Greene is a stud, Givens is loaded with potential and Coppet flashed more ability than both. William Houston is a huge wildcard here.

TE Chris Pohlman 6-2 261 Sr Clay Rolf 6-7 275 Sr® Hunter Folkertsma 6-5 235 Fr® Jake Nachtrab 6-2 226 Fr® Vito Sosic 6-3 225 Fr
No idea how they will even be used but you have to love a position where the top 2 guys listed are a former FB and former LT.

WR Roger Lewis 6-0 196 Fr Jermal Hosley 5-9 192 So® Peter Norris 5-10 178 Fr Brandon Poncsak 6-2 185 Fr
WR Gehrig Dieter 6-3 204 So® John Klingerman 5-8 171 Fr® Teo Redding 6-1 165 Fr® Robbie Rhodes 6-0 190 So
WR Heath Jackson 6-0 185 Sr® Herve Coby 6-0 179 Jr® Korey Stills 5-10 185 Fr Chris Gallon 6-4 229 Jr®
WR Ronnie Moore 5-9 168 So Ryan Burbrink 5-8 183 Jr® Trevor Roop 5-10 196 Fr®
This group should leave you drooling. Lewis and Gehrig are both new and both hopefully studs. Rhodes and Gallon should be here next year. Ronnie Moore might be the most electric of the group and Heath Jackson is the top returning receiver.

LT Jacob Bennet 6-5 332 So® Darion Delaney 6-4 295 Sr® Austin Labus 6-6 284 Fr JC Bartok 6-5 260 R
LG Ben Steward 6-6 300 So® Ryan Hunter 6-4 324 Fr® Geno Zappa 6-4 280 Fr® Andrew Lucke 6-2 336 Fr
C Tim McCaullife 6-0 274 Fr® JJ Beggan 6-3 305 So® Isiah Moore 6-3 307 Fr
RG Alex Huettel 6-4 309 Jr® Spencer Cairo 6-2 314 Jr® DeAngelo Ware 6-5 320 Fr
RT Logan Dietz 6-6 298 So® Christian Piazza 6-6 286 Jr® Clark Clancy 6-4 288 Fr®
I don't follow the line much but you have to love the fact that 9 of the 10 on the line 2 deep are back next year. Only will get better.

K Tyler Tate 6-0 185 Jr® Anthony Farinella 6-2 190 So® Nick Fields 5-9 233 Fr®
P Joe Davidson 6-7 220 Fr®
LS Greg Hohenstein 6-3 222 So®

LE Bryan Thomas 6-3 248 Sr® Kendall Montgomery 6-6 278 Sr® Terrance Bush 6-2 238 So® Malik Brown 6-4 251 Fr®
LT Taylor Royster 5-10 255 Jr® Gus Schwietermen 6-2 261 Fr® Izaah Lunsford 6-3 300 So® Corey Madlock 6-4 296 Fr Nico Lautanen 6-3 265 R
NT Zach Colvin 6-3 287 Sr Jhalil-Nashid Croley 6-2 270 So® Shannon Smith 6-0 281 Fr Tyler King 6-1 280 Fr Eddie Wilson 6-4 260 R
RE Charlie Walker 6-3 247 Sr® Bryan Baird 6-4 238 Jr® Mike Minns 5-10 313 Jr Brian Sanders 6-3 239 Fr David Konowalski 6-3 210 Fr
There is so much movement here but I am especially excited to see Malik Brown next year and I have high hopes for Montgomery and Terrance Bush. Both flashed noticeable athleticism last year.

Buck DJ Lynch 6-0 252 Sr® Austin Valdez 6-0 226 Fr® Trenton Greene 5-9 195 Jr Domique Carter 6-0 218 Sr® Rahn Bailey 6-2 226 R Harrison Roberts 6-2 196 R
MLB Nate Locke 5-11 227 Fr® Paul Senn 6-0 213 Sr Aaron Banks 6-2 218 Fr® Griff Saunders 6-3 217 Fr Justice Hart 5-11 204 R
OLB Gabe Martin 6-2 236 Sr® James Sanford 6-1 194 So® Jalen Dingle 6-1 213 Fr Zac Bartman 5-11 211 So® Monti Phillips 5-10 184 Fr® Brandon Harris 6-0 205 R
Lynch and Martin are both studs and you have to be intrigued by the QB turned LB in Valdez already on the 2 deep and the redshirt freshman in the middle.

FS Ryland Ward 5-10 195 Sr® Denard Turner 6-0 189 Jr Nilijah Ballew 6-0 204 Fr Trevahn Beery 6-0 166 Fr Ferrod Gardner 6-0 205 R
SS Brian Sutton 5-11 199 Sr Isaiah Gourdine 6-2 198 So Matt Robinson 5-8 175 Fr® Jack Walz 5-10 190 Fr Bobo Jones 6-0 185 R
CB Jude Adjei-Barimah 5-11 200 Sr® Will Watson 5-11 179 Jr Alphonso Mack 5-11 178 So® Victor Osborne 5-9 182 Sr® Clinton Stephens 5-10 180 Fr Robert Jackson 5-10 161 R
CB Darrell Hunter 5-9 178 Jr® Nick Johnson 6-2 178 Fr Diontre Delk 5-10 181 Jr® Ben Hale 6-2 203 Fr Marcus Boomer 6-1 175 Fr
I bow to all of your DB prowess here but Ballew was a much sought after freshman.

So much talent and so many guys with loads of athleticism and potential. It should be exciting to watch.
