Really good win, felt similar to the Buffalo game last year in terms of how the game went and how much the defense dominated.

I'm really concerned about the offense, the play calling wasn't good again and I felt BG continued to attack the sidelines rather than the middle of the field. Seems like the staff is trying to limit the mistakes made by Knapke but it's forcing a lot of low percentage passes. Hopefully that changes.

The only one I really questioned was, throwing it deep at the end of the half from the 10 and gifting Akron a stopped clock, especially with how Davidson had been punting to that point.

The only way BG was going to lose that game was giving away a score. They took some shots down field, Knapke missed Lewis open on one and forced another one, I was fine with the quick screens to the outside and running the ball, in the second half.

In the first half Knapke hit a couple slants to Dieter, they ran the tunnel screen to Moore to the center of the field (he fumbled) and Knakpe forced it to Dieter that was almost picked on the first FG drive in the center of the field.

It's absolutely hilarious to read these threads the day after the game. Based on our eyewitness reports here, it's a freaking wonder our guys managed to get dressed and find their way to the field.

We totally dominated a game, on the road, that we had to win, in horrible conditions, with numerous players hurt.

Good Grief People!!

Not to mention we were 6.5 point dogs in the day leading up to the game. It was a sloppy first half for the offenses but our D put together their best game all year. I was very happy with the game and wasn't disappointed with any aspect of our team (except the punting...some of those were terrible. Wind to blame?).

Also I would just like to mention what a luxury it has been having Tate kicking FGs. Before him I can't remember the last time I felt three points were an automatic from ANY distance.

Easiest way to tell we won? The asshats haven't started any threads calling for Babers to be fired....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Babers was really into the game last night, barking at the officials and even having some discussions with players. By far the most emotion and engagement he's shown all season.

Right. Because I'm totally convinced you thought the first half looked good. It is easy to come here after the fact and say this s**t.

First half was boring garbage by both teams...neither was into the game, nor could either team adapt to the weather conditions. Still we managed a first half lead.

In the second half our defense made play after play and after their fumbled snap there was no point where I felt the game was in doubt.

This while again battling a mind boggling rash of injuries.

Completely agree with this. We won last night how we won last year.

That was rude. I consider all Falcon athletes family and choose to be supportive and say positive things about them. Save the trash talk for the opponent, not our guys.
