At the D-3 Championship game, they mentioned that Wisc.-Whitewater had about 13000 + students, which is why I said it wasn't much smaller than some MAC schools, especially, Miami and BG.... the real point was that they were playing Mt. Union, a school with 3K or so.... seems like a rather unbalanced situation in D-3.

One thing to keep in mind is divisions have nothing to do with size like they do in high school. That's because high schools must pull their athletes from their existing student population, so schools with larger populations can tend to be more selective and find higher caliber athletes. In college, you recruit the athletes, so having 13,000, 5,000, or 1,800 students does not matter.
