"...they were all on the dean’s list for spring semester. Alfonso and Gehrig each had a GPA of 4.0, and Nolan and Terrance, 3.75."

Bravo!! Report on that one, Northwest Ohio media.

All four of these guys can play a major role this year. The current roster is missing Cody Calloway and Trevahn Beery. Considering Will Watson (still on roster) might be suspended and Nick Johnson & Bryan Thomas are suspended, Mack and Bush will likely see a lot more playing time at CB and DE. Nolan Dieter was moved to Safety in the Spring but given we are down Nicholas and Calloway, he might move back to QB so we do not have to lose Morgan's redshirt in case of any injuries.

What happened with Callaway?

I don't know what happened. He's still on the baseball roster but not on the football roster in the BGSU website.

That's what happens when have impact players graduate and guys you expected to contribute get kicked off the team for being dumb.

Love to see the BG coverage in Indiana. The program has had some very important players come from the state within the past ten years. The Dieters, Knapke, Chris Jones and Sean O'Drobniak are just a few which come to mind.

I also love seeing the affection Gehrig Dieter has about Bowling Green. Every potential recruit needs to see these quotes:

Everybody in Bowling Green loves Bowling Green. I go to the grocery store, everybody has Bowling Green (clothes) on.

“There are a lot of great football players in the MAC. The talent level, a lot of our guys could start on Big Ten or Big 12 teams.

“People get caught up in the ‘name’ thing. Recruits will choose a school for the wrong reason.”

I love it when the athletes realize and appreciate what a special place the town of BG is! I see it all the time in the hockey players (especially the alumni who have been away for awhile and come back!) and it's wonderful to see it from other teams too! Agree, that EVERY athlete needs to read these quotes!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Let's not forget we have one of those appreciative alumni as head basketball coach now ;) And I think he's gonna bring back a lot of appreciative basketball alumni.

Would love to see some former football players back as well. It's a special town!
