What's up with that....
All the usual negative haters were out on page one in the game thread. They quickly disappeared and had nothing to say after the first quarter. They'll all be back in full force the first minute something goes wrong again. I mean damn, still getting comparisons to Gregg Brandon.

Me, I'm enjoying this. You likely won't see offensive production like this again. When was the last time you saw a QB take better care of the ball than Johnson? Not just him though, all the receivers and backs are great with the ball in their hands. 5 turnovers in 9 games while running 85 plays a game is ridiculously good. Two of those interceptions bounced off a guys hands. One of the fumbles was when Moore was playing RB. Just had the best 4 game offensive stretch in school history.

All this while having a defense that has greatly improved over the last month. 23, 38, 10, 0 and 24. Is that really that bad when your averaging about 50 a game in that stretch? Keep in mind the dogs have been called off in four out of five of those games.

Special teams are greatly improved and the idiotic penalties have disappeared.

Oh yeah 17 in a row against the East.

Some would rather pick fly s**t out of a pepper shaker though. Of course this team isn't perfect, but find me one that is.
Hear hear!

This is the best I've seen bg play in the years I've watched this team. And that includes the 03 team. The only thing that group has on this one is they held osu close and had a chance to win while we really didn't threaten Tennessee. If this team can avoid a Ben roethlisberger type moment it will easily go down as the best bg team that I've ever seen.

And I'm enjoying every minute of it. Don't even care about the fact our coach is likely gone, our qb is in his last year, or the fact that our best wr will probably leave for the nfl. Who cares? Those things happen because we are really fu**ing good right now!
Right there with ya...enjoy it while it lasts.

Kdog, you summed it up damn well. FIVE turnovers in NINE games. We don't beat ourselves. If you wanna beat us, you're not getting help. That is an incredible stat when you think about it. We are +11 in TO margin and have 12 INT's on the season. There are still penalties but it's not as bad as it was. Remember the D gave up 31 against UMass...they scored on a KO return. The D has surrendered 74 points in 5 MAC games, which is a 14.8 average. With a lethal O and a D that doesn't give up points, we have a deadly combo. Yeah, we give up yards...freakin Ohio ran 97 plays last night and scored 24. I'll take that.

+1

I was talking to my dad at the Ohio game and mentioned how we took those high-flying offenses in the early 2000s for granted and that we can't do that now. We're seeing a thoroughly dominant team absolutely run roughshod through it's division and is hitting its stride during the toughest part of the conference schedule.

I love how much this team has grown from early in the season and it's a testament to the type of players that have been recruited and the ability of the coaching staff to put them in positions to succeed.
