Who cares who's better....we'll head into camp with two senior QB with a ton of game experience backed up by a very talented RS FR. We're in great shape there if no one leaves to go to a lower level to play right away.

Callaway not sticking hurts our depth for the seasons after that....maybe recruit a JUCO and a HS QB next year
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

This is GREAT news as right now we're only slated to have Knapke and Morgan as QB's, with Johnson likely gone, Callaway on the baseball team and Nicholas left in the spring. And there is a huge difference between the two Texas Tech QB's coming here. Webb is a proven collegiate QB, whereas Nicholas was a complete unknown. Both were pretty highly rated, but one has a track record and the other did not. Big difference.

We also have a very good freshman coming in if he honors his comittment. 3* Elijah Cunningham, per his Twitter account, received a "whole staff" home visit from the new BG staff, and said he was looking forward to coming to BG. Picture of everyone (6 staff members) making visit is included. :D

davis webb is a very good QB - raiderfalcone is being kind of harsh

his biggest problem last year was he tried too hard - and once he got hurt - he never got the starting job again

however, every time he did play this year - i thought he looked very good

i kinda wished he would have played more when the TT-QB1 got nicked up this year

last year trent dilfer said he reminded him of a young tom brady - i think that kinda went to his head and he tumped over from the swelling

I remember watching him play and put up huge numbers at Tech. He's really, really good. We lose a 4700 yard single season passer and our QB situation is as healthy as ever, as it should be in a good program.

Davis Webb is a really SOLID person, and Bowling Green would serve themselves well by adding him to their team. Webb could be a GREAT coach someday.

I was really excited for him, and his future at Tech with what he showed in our bowl game against Arizona St.....but, then , he came out in the first 3 games against VASTLY inferior teams (well 2 were VASTLY undermanned...Arkansas wasnt), and couldn't run our offense efficiently. We barely were able to beat those other teams, and I lost all confidence in Webb. We ended up going 4-8 in the season that webb was the starter.

Due to injury, Patrick Mahomes was able to show what he could do, and I was ABSOLUTELY in his corner as our starter.

Webb is not mobile, and is a pocket passer, and doesn't handle pressure up the middle very well.

If Davis Webb is your starter, then there will be moments that you think he's the BEST THING EVER!

He does have GREAT touch on fade routes.

However, he really locks onto WR's, and really doesn't see the entire field very well.
Tech had a TRUE sophomore beat Webb out for starter this season, and it really wasn't because of Webb's injury.

Thanks for the info! I hope he does indeed land at BG. Looking forward to what he can do if he does.
