I would say that this has been a successful year. Lost by 3 to Memphis that we should or could have won, besides the already mentioned games. Was the bowl game expected? When I read they ran the option I was like crap! As the season progressed, I seen many teams had a lot of success on sweeps, counters, options etc, any play that did not go between tackles, that we had issues stopping. On top of this, it didn't help colvin was out, minns is an idiot but could have helped along with last year's off season defense legal issues that left us somewhat cabinet bare on defense in experience didn't help. However, who did play I'm sure gave it all they had with what they had to give. Lack of subs, experience against the option show cased this. Even Ward acknowledged this issue. IMO the offense tried to hard, much like Toledo game, and wasn't shall I say having fun and mistakes happened. They caved to the pressure! On to next year while remembering the past for good ole stories
