No Falcons were drafted. Actually a very bad draft for the MAC. Probably the best MAC option was Braverman and get went middle of the 7th round. A few linemen from CMU, WMU and Akron went 5th and 6th rounds but I don't know if they will make it.
I except Johnson and Lewis will be signed as F.A. later today or tomorrow.

Re: No Falcons drafted
There was talk in Detroit that the Lions might be on that OL from WMU in the 4th round...but they went with a DB so Minny got him a few picks later.
Good draft for Detroit....

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: No Falcons drafted
I was impressed with the Lions draft. I was hoping Detroit or Indy would have taken MJ late 6th or 7th rounss.
Re: No Falcons drafted
Let's not forget the others. Travis ufa to redskins but the biggest surprise is Alex huettle only gets an invite from Titans. At least he gets to try out but I felt he would at least be undrafted free agent

Re: No Falcons drafted
I am a bit surprised Huttel didn't get drafted. Dude played 55 games at BG and was All MAC multiple years. TG should have a decent shot in DC>

It's just really surprising that for having 12 teams out of approx 120, that the MAC can't develop more NFL talent. You'd think that there would be a few raw but athletic kids that would develop. Just another reason that MAC teams need to look into whether or not to invest further in FBS football.

Here's a breakdown following the draft of NFL players by MAC school...I'll include UMass just because they competed in the conference up until this season...this includes UDFAs which signed, obviously many of those may not be sticking.apollo wrote:It's just really surprising that for having 12 teams out of approx 120, that the MAC can't develop more NFL talent.
