North Dakota predictions

Post by jpfalcon09 »

Pretty excited for the home opener. There is scheduled to be a pre-game flyover and 2015 MAC Championship banner reveal, I'm assuming weather pending. Speaking of the weather, a windy and soggy day may prove to be a challenge for the BG offense. We may see more of a running attack, something that the Fighting Hawks excel at. I do think we see enough plays made by the offense to win comfortably, but the defense may have its hands full early on against the running games. Coppet gets a few scores and breaks 100 yards, while Knapke throws for 2-3 scores as well. I think the defense forces a turnover as well. BG is also a 21-point favorite in Vegas.

I'm taking a BG win, 42-14, although the game may be close at halftime.

A lot of things have to turn around this week for North Dakota to get its second straight FBS win. #1 is getting the running game going to sustain drives, wear down the defense and control the clock. Best defensive approach for UND will be to keep BGSU's offense off of the field. I really don't think BGSU will be able to run the ball a ton, but we know just how capable you guys are through the air.

I'm going to go with my squad for the upset, and say that Santiago gets going this week. 31-24 Fighting Sioux!

Regardless of outcome, enjoy the game. I'd hope for good weather for those of you going, but some rain would probably play into UND's favor. Wish I could make it down, but I'll be enjoying the game from my couch.

35-10 BG.....Game is meaningless, don't understand why the NCAA allows these games. If you lose to an FCS team, you should be put in FCS the next year.

So Michigan, Florida, Virginia Tech and Oregon St should all be FCS now. Gotcha.
