MAC with 4 wins vs P5 so far

Post by BGSU33 »

The MAC has certainly taken it on the chin in a lot of game for one reason or another, but the MAC has won 4 games vs the P5, all of the road, so far this year, which surpasses what the MAC had all of last year. Congrats to WMU, having pulled off what BG did last year by defeating a pair of Big Ten teams on the road, as the Broncos beat Northwestern in week one and Illinois this week. Ohio beat Kansas and Central Michigan beat Oklahoma State last week. CMU gets another crack at another P5 win as the Chippewas face Virginia next weekend.
GO BG!!!

And Virginia blows this year, so CMU's got a good chance to win that one.

Western has a legit shot to end the regular season undefeated. Probably not likely because of the MAC West has a couple other teams capable of competing with them and upsets happen....still it should be interesting to see if they can run the table.

I said early on I thought WMU had a chance to go 12-0 and the biggest hurdle would be Northwestern. Now it looks like Georgia Southern is the biggest hurdle. WMU's style should just rip through the MAC west.

Something tells me that season finale between WMU and UT is going to be a good one.

Georgia Southern absolutely annihilated Western last season. The Broncos never got their ores in the water as GS beat them soundly 43-7. It will be interesting to see if the Western team has grown high enough to meet the task this season. Fleck would like to win this one thus, once again, making a case for the 800k.
