So far so good. Would love to see WMU come out and dominate the 2nd half.

I'm all for Western winning... as it would be good for BG and the rest of the MAC financially, but I find it a little weird all the love they are getting on this board.

Them going to the Cotton Bowl isn't going to make the MAC relevant nationally. It's a nice story hope they win tonight and show well in the bowl....other than that PJ Fleck and Western can F off

Real classy. I'm giving Western the love because of the way they did it. It's hard to not get excited about a coach who is as passionate as PJ Fleck is. It's not about finances or the MAC for me. I watch his interviews on YouTube and wish we could get a coach who is that excited about BG.

Well WMU won but with that performance tonight NAVY will pass them and go to the Cotton Bowl with a win tomorrow.

Western played the 118th toughest schedule going into today....Navy is ranked 70th. I don't know??? I think Western should go, but that SOS is really bad. Hopefully Navy loses and it makes it easy on everyone.

Temple usually chokes...Navy will probably coast today. The outcry over WMU's exclusion will someday lead to a non P5 championship bowl on New Year's or thereabouts. Sort of like the light heavyweight championship in boxing.

Washington destroys Colorado...they're in. Michigan has to get a Clemson loss to make it...it would seem

Here is my problem. The MAC is part of the Group of 5. The top ranked conference champions in the Group of 5 is awarded a major bowl game. WMU went 13-0. Played two Big 10 teams on the road and won, granted Illinois is not a very good team, but regardless they still won. True the strength if schedule was weak but some of these OCC games are scheduled 7 years in advance. In 2011 when the game between WMU and NW was scheduled NW finished 10-3. Last year NW finished 10-3. Looked like a decent SOS game. However NW had to down year and it hurt WMU strength of schedule. WMU beat everyone on its schedule.

If the committee bypasses WMU for NAVY then the MAC should drop down to FCS level. Why say Group of 5 if you are trying every way to find a way to keep from selecting WMU. If Temple wins the AAC today I'm sure some would vote Temple higher than WMU. Pathetic but true.

By not blowing out Ohio in dominant form last night, WMU gave their detractors the ammunition they wanted to have in order to make a case against letting them go to Dallas. They deserve to go. Yes, Navy is a good team and they might win the head to head matchup if they were to play each other. But damn, those players and coaches didn't make their schedule, all they did was win every single game that was put in front of them. If they get passed over in favor of a 2 loss team, then that's just purely b.s. and would be yet another stain on the "legitimacy" of this current joke of a system we have. Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if that's exactly what happened.

If Western gets passed up....hopefully the MAC isn't too scared to make some noise. Not sure if there would be any legal recourse to take, but I'd be getting ready. When this much money is at stake, there needs to be some accountability to stick to the agreement that was made.
