[quote="tiznow"][quote="Falconfreak90"][quote="BGSU33"]Those are both great, but this one is still better IMO being it was against a ranked Big 10 school on the road and how critical the play was late 4th quarter:

No question it was the best. Purdue was really expecting BiG things that year and pretty stacked. I think they finished 9-4 so they definitely had a good year. We were sitting on goal line where Sharon made that catch.

The Blade led with that photo in its sports section, if memory serves. it's a great photo.

Yep, I remember chatting with some local radio hosts that week saying I thought BG might have a chance to win that game. They promptly told me no way because Purdue was a legit Big10 title contender and even though BG had a good MAC team they wouldn't be able to hang with Joe Tiller's offense.

Well we won that game and gave OSU all they could handle in the shoe. Throw in the GameDay experience and that was, without any doubt, the greatest season for me as a BG fan. Effing Roethlisberger...

And a Bowl win over NW, 28-24. Like you said, great year other than Miami, twice.

They went 9-4 and their losses were a combined 13 points. They were a really good team.
