I think the school (Krebs) is doing a good job of rectifiying the OOC home game problem. As pointed out here, USF bailed on us, so we were left to scramble this year. The deals with Wyoming and Boise State are good ones; Temple will be in BG next year; the Wisconsin deal is very cool. BG needs to keep working hard to set up more of these types of home-and-home deals.
In the end, we need to have a good H schedule regardless of how the MAC games fall. I think we're moving in the right direction on this front.
MAC had good showing & attendance last night, etc.
I'm with ya '87. Our future home schedules definitely have me excited. This year's, however, leaves something to the imagination, to say the least. Oh well, just gotta go out and beat those that are on the schedule and worry about the rest later.1987alum wrote:hammb:

Actually, we have one: A coach that lied about wanting to stay in Bowling Green, then took his first chance at a big payday.MotorCityChamps wrote:now if our hoops program could find another urban meyer life would be good!!!!!
The only difference is, the basketball version burned his bridges...then came back.

Maybe this discsussion belongs on the Bball forum, but I think DD was always straight with everyone before he left. The impression I got from his public statements was that he was happy here and would love to stay, but if another opportunity on a bigger stage came along, he'd have to consider it.
I don't have a problem with coaches leaving for better opportunities. I've done so in my own career, hell I've worked for three companies in direct competiton with each other within 12 months because the $$$$ kept getting bigger with each opportunity. You have to do what you think is best for your family in the long run. I just think Urban Meyer could have handled things better.
