@ Toledo (10/6)

Post by mbenecke »

I haven't seen anyone making predictions, but here goes nothing:

UT 55
BG 35

I think we will be able to move the ball and score on them a bit. I just have a hard time seeing us stopping their offense, even with them being down to their backup at QB. Doege and Clair must both have big games for us to have a shot. If we can somehow control the clock and win the turnover battle, we might have a prayer. I'll be glad to be wrong about this one. Leave your predictions and game commentary below.

Go Falcons.

Im done with Jinks. Will stay home and do yard work in the am then watch Cincinnati/Tulane and the Buckeyes at 4.

My BGSU games are over with until he leaves.

Toledo 63
BG 24

Even if Guadagni can't go, there's still too many weapons Toledo has offensively. BG hasn't consistently moved the ball all season and that won't change this week. The Rockets expect to win this game now while BG hopes to win. There will be pitchforks for Jinks after the final gun.

UT surrendered a 42 point run to Fresno. If they are still shell shocked we've got a chance.

Otherwise it is like every other game. Offense starts out hot, then fails to keep up in the chess match and defense gives up TDs on almost every drive.

This seems about right. It's going to be a butt-whipping.

Heck, we can't win in that place even in years when we are better than them. Not a snowball's chance of even coming close in this one.

People say you can throw out the records in a rivalry game. This is not a rivalry game anymore. The current players and coaches have never seen it as such because they've never experienced it, even though they might pay it lip service when giving interviews.

I used to get up for this one more than any other week of the season, but that seems like light years ago now. In my rankings of things I'd least like to be doing on Saturday, having my fingernails slowly pulled out one by one is just ahead of watching us take another pasting from Turdledo.

I was nodding my head when JPFalcon09 projected that Toledo would score 63. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Toledo reaches 70.

For the good of the program, we need to get stomped...

UT 56

BG 28

We score two late TD's again....

With the history of this school's teams (all sports) shooting themselves in the foot, they'll probably pull off the upset.

I am as disappointed as anyone with the past three seasons and yes it doesn’t look good for Coach Jinks but some of your posts are absolutely out there. Can we at least root for the team how can you say you’d rather get beat by your rival no matter how bad the coaches might be. With fans like that we don’t need any enemies

week to week concern over a W vs an L is a great mindset when you're a contender. We aren't a contender and we won't be under the current coach. Stick a fork in him, he's done. The longer view is better served by taking a drubbing that hastens his departure.
