His defense has improved significantly over the course of the season, probably due to them slowly being able to implement his system. It's fair to note that he's played a big role in in changing the culture in the last few weeks, and it's clear that the team has not given up on him.

I don't think it will be him, but if Carl gets the job, I will back it 100%.

Picked up a verbal from an Ohio QB/S from Hubbard...other offers are being extended (at least according to various kid's Twitter feeds). That could suggest Carl is likely to be the guy

They have to be able to recruit regardless of who the coach is. If it’s someone from a lower division that would certainly fit with Moose’s MO so far than members of the current staff would be in play to stay as the lower divisions don’t have as many assistants and staff positions as the D1 programs

Zach Barnett at a Football Scoop posted his first installment of this year’s Nuclear Winter that shows how crazy these offseason’s can get ...

BG makes an early move in the first draft ...

Don’t know about coach situation, but Hubbard knocked off perennial power Steubenville in playoff game . In the “ elite 8” status for there division, and QB was a huge factor.

Might be better DB at college level.

With all due respect, what has Pelini done to even warrant considerations for the job? The defense has regressed once again this year in my opinion. I know we had a host of defections and injuries on that side of the ball, but the players showed no tackling ability and technique was terrible. Certainly not like a unit who's coach deserves a promotion.

In fact, I hope our new head coach brings in new life with a new defensive coordinator. There is nothing this team can do in the last two games to change my mind on this.

Time to move on Moose.

I’m sure most be happy with Vince Kehres OptionQB but can’t remember if any of scenarios happened before since it’s for fun

Curious, do you honestly think the best DC would have made a difference with BG defense?

I’m hoping BG makes best hire they can!

If 2nd half performance continues next two games, he deserves an interview.

1. Vince Kehres IF he’s realistic and available
2. Mike Jacobs #1 seed in D2 super regional. Undefeated season going at Notre Dame College (Euclid) 28-5 as he’d coach. 40-ish. Played college ball at OSU. From Maumee

These would be my first two calls

I need to research more into Mike Jacobs. But count me intrigued. And similar profile to Moose's most recent hire.
Kehres. Can't think he'd leave. Said the same thing about Leipold at UWW. With how many good coaches have come from Mount Union, the entire MAC would crap their pants if we made this hire.

Pete Thamel just tweeted an article mentioning Brady Hoke. Luckily named Elon coach Curt Cignetti, Mount Union coach Vince Kehres and Illinois State coach Brock Spack too.

If I had to pick between the recently fired Michigan head coaches, I would take Rich Rodriguez. Hoke was the better fit at Michigan, Rodriguez is the better overall coach.
