Embrace the BGSUCKS

SL said after the latest debate that they have to "embrace the suck." Well, that's certainly something this team can rally around, as there's plenty of suck to go around on offense, defense and special teams on this team!

BG is already ranked DEAD LAST in a number of categories in the NCAA such as:

- Last in the NCAA in completion percentage on offense. And McDonald is last in the NCAA by a MILE!!!
- Last in the NCAA in 3rd down conversion percentage on offense.
- Last in the NCAA in total defense. By a lot.
- Last in the NCAA in scoring defense.
- Last in the NCAA in redone defense.
- Last in the NCAA in net punting.

But wait, there's more suck to go around:

- BG is the 1st MAC team over the last 50 seasons to lose 5 straight games by 35 points.
- BG is the 1st FBS team over the last 15 seasons to lose 5 straight conference games by 35 points.
- BG is the 4th team over the last 15 seasons to allow 60 points in consecutive home games.

I gotta say, embracing the suck is extremely easy as a BG fan. It's effortless and won't take you anywhere near the moon.

If you can get paid & the department promotes the "embrace the suck" campaign, go for it. The stats and the eyeballs tell you this is a disaster. Yet, because of Dave Clawson, people are convinced. Jim McElwain is now 2-0 at Central. They beat Northern Illinois 40-10. This is his follow up to a MAC West title in 2019. BGSU paid a search firm to identify potential candidates. Jim McElwain was interested. But, like his mentor Chris Kingston taught him, be the smartest person in the room, and hire the guy who has never been a coach before. Especially when the former Florida coach has fallen directly into your lap. So embrace the suck folks. Count out the roster spots, blame Mike Jinks and Dino Babers while setting new records of incompetence. It's always everyone's fault but the BGSU athletic department.

It is becoming clear that it’s a long shot for Loeffler is going to turn this around. Clawson was a huge benefactor of a horrendous MAC East during his time. Loeffler is playing stiffer competition and doesn’t have a top 20 D Coordinator like Clawson had in Elko. Van Gorder is a joke nationally amongst ND fans and rivals and it is becoming obvious why to Falcon fans.
What BG needs is a AD with some vision and drive to build a strong department. It is clear that status quo is good enough for this regime.
