Re: School colors?
Each school is responsible for their licensing agreement. A few years ago ohio was Russell athletic but that didn't include shoes so they switched to Adidas.
To the original point it can be harder to find brown especially for smaller sports. After the switch to Nike the women's cross country team had to wear longer (for running at least) and baggy shorts instead of the usual spandex type. As a younger alumni I don't mind having black apparel or clothing but I want the jerseys to be brown if not orange. Football doesn't have enough games to wear another color with all their uniform combinations. I didn't mind basketball having black or even grey but it should be a very rare occurrence

Also tommyG is correct Kingston was the spearhead for the Nike deal and it wasn't necessary. Adidas has a lot less schools so it worked better for us and now they are back on an upswing as a company

Not to defend many of his other offenses but if I remember correctly the athletes were surveyed and Adidas wasn’t 1st or 2nd choice

Riiiight....because that's the choice. Wear clothing made by slaves or make your own.

Can you really be sure if you don’t do it yourself? Sorry to rain on your bad day

I don't know about you, or Flipper, but 95+% of the clothes I wear say Made In USA, and are from companies I trust.FalconTurf wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 9:44 pmCan you really be sure if you don’t do it yourself? Sorry to rain on your bad day

Really disliked it a couple of years ago when we attempted a whiteout. White is not one of our colors. Michigan looked good with a mazeout and Prudue with a blackout. I would have supported an orangeout or brownout, but whiteout why? It made me so made I stopped giving to Falcon Cub. Our colors are burnt orange and brown. Use them.

pdt...that's what I'm working towards. Becoming far more aware of the origins of the goods I buy.
As for Nike...f**k them. They make a lot of noise about being woke...but they were one of the major US corporations lobbying Congress against strong legislation regarding the importation of goods from the Xinjiang region of China...where ethnic minorities are often used as forced labor to make products for exportation.
I used to be a Globalist economically...now.....I think that we're just feeding a beast that exploits people
