I’m most interested in how many wins does Loeffler need to get to keep his job? Short of some type of miracle, I don’t think there is any chance he gets to 6 wins. I think he probably wins 4 with a slim chance at 5. If he wins 5 games are people arguing that it’s still improving?
No question it wasn’t an easy job, but I don’t know how you can go into this year as anything better than skeptical.

Re: Rivals recruiting ratings
If a QB does not emerge by August to legitimately challenge said QB To START, or better yet take over without injury as the cause, then the Loeffler reign is over in my opinion, regardless of 2022 record. You would be going into 2023 with an old, grizzled veteran roster and NO QB . It’s not as if they have to beat out Joe Burrow. A QB Guru with no QB’s is a disaster.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

If you have ESPN Insider, this article is interesting. BG returns 95% of its production on offense which is tops in the nation, and 88% on defense which is fifth. They're tops overall combined at 92%.
Hopefully continuity will count for something.

For all of the transfers out in the last couple of years, this is a pretty impressively high number. Granted, things could change and people could leave between now and then, especially with the transfers in who are sure to take some jobs, but still pretty solid retention.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 10:35 am https://www.espn.com/college-football/i ... 022-season

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

The numbers above are proof that Loeffler is (at least in theory) practicing what he’s preaching. The program needs to retain their talented contributors and get a lot older, and we’re now seeing that happen. Now, it needs to translate into on-field results before it actually means anything. But the plan all along has been to stabilize the program and then develop the young guys to be really good players by the time they’re old.
Just because we’re quick to give up or become impatient as fans doesn’t mean the plan has ever changed within the program. And at minimum, I credit this staff for at least having a plan that they’re sticking to - which is something we couldn’t say with the previous staff.

Do you want...in a manner of speaking...90% of 50 or 60% of 90?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
