I love to look at stats..........What kinds of stats would you like to see for football?
QB hurries are a bit of a mystery to me. We consistently hurried their QB but I guess if the pass is complete, no credit is given.
For OL, pancake blocks. We had this for a short time under Clawson.
For QB as well as WR/TE/RB: YAC = yards after catch.
Strength and conditioning stats.
Speed: 20-, 40-, 60- and 100-meter sprints.
Strength: Weightlifting top fives of various categories. Clawson also had some of this for a time.
Vertical leap:
I wish the participation chart included the following information:
1. Starts
2. Games
3. How many plays broken down by Offense, Defense, Special teams. Another nice to have is how many plays at each position or at least position group but that does get complicated.
+/- yardage while in the game. Similar to +/- points for basketball. Split out penalty yards.
Penalties and yards per player. This would be nasty so maybe not.
