I think them being on the football team is enough to get the girls.

How about O-Jake?

Brings back memories of all the incredible Falcon Ladies who were moaning that to me during my days at BG**

Me and some of my friends at the game dubbed him "Predator" because of the hair....to us it reminds us of the Predator from the movie Preditor, because it had dreads....and it fits because Omar is just that good...thought I'd share the nickname he got from some OU students....

lol, the Predator. That's kinda funny, though I'm not sure how much Omar would like people thinking he looks like an ugly-ass alien because of his hair style.

I have a thing about dreads. Don't know what it is, but I'm a fan of any player with dreads flowing out the back of his helmet. He should absolutely NOT cut them. In fact, I hope by the time he graduates he has Mike McKenzie-esque locks so that nobody can see his name. They just look sweet.

Same goes for hoops players that have giant 'fros. I have much more confidence in those guys than anyone else. I believe Ben Wallace plays better w/ the 'fro, but I have no evidence of that.

Post by BG_bird4life »

Personally I feel there are a ton of nicknames that could be used for Omar.

Omarvelous...OJ...the Juice (100% Florida squeezed )

u can use anything u want on a guy w/ gold teeth fronts and a golden arm...what a great asset he will be this year and years to come.

gotta be...
I have decided against this. OJ could be taken as a reference for OJ Simpson. Who they even called the Juice ocassionally. I don't think either of those would work out to well...

It's kind of the same thing with the big O. The nickname is taken by Oscar Roberston...but I guess he did play a different sport.

how about just "Omar"?

Aside from Sharif, Epps and Vizquel, how many Omars are there, really?

though "Omarvelous" would make for a great sign at the Doyt.

Oh there's more. There's an Omar Gooding...brother of Cuba Gooding Jr. and star of the now cancelled ESPN Playmakers.
