Falcons in the NFL
Re: Falcons in the NFL
Also Tyrone Broden is playing for the Seahawks. 1 catch for 15 yards on 3 targets so far through two preseason games.

Fannin with a TD from Flacco today

Bazelak was 12-19 for 107 and a TD against the Bills. Quinton Morris went 3 for 18 for the Jags.
Cut week is ahead so we'll see how the chips fall.

Bazelak waived by the Bucs today but they plan to add him to the practice squad if he clears waivers. Performed pretty well in pre-season.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Scotty Miller made the Steelers 53-man roster. Quintin Morris was released by the Jags. 50/50 chance he ends up on their PS. Sounds like Bazelak will be on the Bucs PS as he impressed during the preseason.
Obviously Karl Brooks and Fannin made the Packers and Browns, respectively. Three Falcons in the NFL with potentially two on practice squads has got to be one of the better years pro wise for the program.

Morris and Bazelak officially on practice squads.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Morris will end up seeing time on a roster this year. Happy for Bazelak, too. I watched the last preseason game and he was extremely sharp and accurate. Will never be a big arm, but he's smart and might find himself having a nice career floating around on practice squads or as a backup.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
These PS slots, if you can stick there for the year, come close to $250k/yr now. A guy like Morris having been in the league for 3+ yrs will be closer to $400k, and like you said likely get called up for active game day duty (max of 3x).BillyLP wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 10:44 amMorris will end up seeing time on a roster this year. Damned nice living for as long as you can stick.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Fannin had seven receptions for 63 yards in his regular season debut, nine targets today. Even lined up in the wildcat for a three yard rush. He was a featured component of the Browns offense in a game they should have won.

Tied Warren for most catches in an NFL TE debut game. Should've had the sole possession of the record if not for a phantom hold calling it back.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 6:19 pm Fannin had seven receptions for 63 yards in his regular season debut, nine targets today. JP, I know you enjoy watching film and stuff. The all-22 of Fannin's long 20+ catch was just a sick route turning the safety in a blender. Also really good awareness as it appears it wasn't his original route, but he adjusted when he realized it was man coverage and found a way to get himself open for the big play. Kid's gonna be good. He's gonna be real good.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Was puzzled during the play how he got so open, then saw he recognized Flacco was flushed from the pocket and improvised. That kind of awareness is impressive for a kid in his first actual game. He's going to be special there, pretty clear the staff knows how to use him correctly.hammb wrote: ↑Mon Sep 08, 2025 4:37 pmTied Warren for most catches in an NFL TE debut game.
