Because of this very real curse, Toledo might never beat us again. They lost their grip, and they may never get it back. What a shame. All those resource advantages and a stacked NIL, and for what? Disrespecting the band is disrespecting the rivalry, and that’s how you lose this game.

I hope they extend Candle. I will never get tired of beating that dope.

very impressed with Coach George & Co keeping the team engaged while down 21. Seeing this team score 28 unanswered – in the LTs no less – was amazing! Loved the trick play call held in the back pocket until it was needed midway thru the 4th qtr to tie the ballgame up. And the defense did its thing with the strip sack to set up the winning score was incredible! ngl i expected UT to score a late TD to tie the game. But we had the butt-pick to seal it. This has just been a great day. The tears coming from Dorr St are hilarious. They just don’t have a very good offense, especially compared to what they’ve in had in past years. This is Candle’s biggest failure, he doesn’t get the Bruce Gradkowski/Chester Taylor talent.

Reflecting on yesterday and the adjustments made on defense is truly impressive. Early on every toledo run was going for at least 5 yards if not 10 to 20. Second half we were consistently making plays in the backfield and seemed like we had their whole offense figured out. 5 of 6 games now we've won the 4th quarter with the other against Ohio being a tie. Coach George has built a great culture and this win will solidify it. We're 3-3 which is top end of what anyone thought we would be at this point of the year. Lot to look forward to in the second half of the year.

Also love how to the two, "BG fans", trolls have been silent since we took the lead yesterday

Just an incredible day all around at the beautiful Doyt...and beating Bancroft High NEVER gets old. Still flyin high today. Their student section was off to our left on the West side and the constant "F$*K BG" chant got old, very fast. After we tied it up, their pie holes shut very quickly.

So the preseason MAC faves have two MAC losses already. Gleason is decent, but no Bruce G. That team will be lucky to finish 6-6. They shot themselves with, what, 13 penalties? I hope they sign Candle to an extension tomorrow. They will probably smack Kent St around but then have WA State, NIU, Miami, Ball St and CMU. They have very little discipline...

BG had 7 total starters back this season but are developing some serious playmakers....FALCON EH. Our Falcons never quit...no matter the score. SO FALCON PROUD of the boys. We are right in the thick of the MAC race. An "expert" here said we would be 0-2 after OU and ut. lol. Has 33 been seen lately? His Rockettes went down in flames but next week his Chips will come to town. Since he is all OU and anti BG, he's an honorary fan of every BG opponent.
