Coaching Carousel 2025-2026

Post by mbenecke »

It's only mid-September, but there have been multiple firings this morning so I figured we could start the annual coaching thread already.

UCLA - DeShaun Foster fired
Virginia Tech - Brent Pry fired

Hoping Terion Stewart got a nice bag because he unfortunately walked into a disaster in Blacksburg. I feel bad for him that his chance at big time football has been a bust so far.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

I don't feel bad for him. Many examples of these guys chasing a bag only to get buried on the depth chart.

Not quite the case with him. He’s top of the depth chart but has been working back from injury (missed week 1, used more each of the last two weeks). He did four years here and wanted to try something new. He’s all good with me.

I understand his case is different, was more of a generalized statement. I guess what I meant is that there really aren't any promises regardless of the situation. Guys in that program are probably already plotting their next move since they can enter the portal early.

At the end of the day, I still root for the guys who move on, but I don’t pity them not playing as much or making as big of an impact as they’d like to, since they’re sitting on stacks of cash. Lol. Once a Falcon, Always a Falcon though.

A lot of openings. Eddie's name is going to be floated around given his celebrity. The minute he wins anything here he's probably gone.

Tennessee Titans fired their head coach. I don't believe the rumors but Eddie George has been floated. I'm assuming more click bait than anything

Good for us when our head coach is mentioned for jobs. It means we are doing well
