Time for my prediction. As always, it's based on very little actual science or reasoning and instead is completely based on my feelings.

Sat 9/5 vs. Tarleton State - W
Sat 9/12 @ Nebraska - W
Sat 9/19 @ Iowa State - W
Sat 9/26 vs. USF (Homecoming) - L
Sat 10/3 @ Miami - L
Sat 10/10 vs. Sacramento State - W
Sat 10/17 vs. Ball State - W
Sat 10/24 @ Buffalo - W
Sat 10/31 @ Western Michigan - L
Tue 11/10 vs. Kent State - W
Fri 11/20 @ Toledo - W
Sat 11/28 vs. UMass - W

9-3. Yes, I have us taking down both Nebraska and Iowa State. Nebraska just isn't that good, and Iowa State lost their coach (Matt Campbell) and a bunch of players and recruits that followed Campbell. I expect ISU to be down this year. If I had to pick between those two power games, I would say we have a better chance winning the ISU game than Nebraska, but my orange glasses are fitting pretty well today and I don't want to take them off just yet. I hate thinking we'll lose to USF, but it's Homecoming and it just feels like that would be the game we'd lose after coming off a big win (or two) against power conference teams.

For a more realistic prediction:

Sat 9/5 vs. Tarleton State - W
Sat 9/12 @ Nebraska - L
Sat 9/19 @ Iowa State - W
Sat 9/26 vs. USF (Homecoming) - L
Sat 10/3 @ Miami - L
Sat 10/10 vs. Sacramento State - W
Sat 10/17 vs. Ball State - W
Sat 10/24 @ Buffalo - L
Sat 10/31 @ Western Michigan - L
Tue 11/10 vs. Kent State - W
Fri 11/20 @ Toledo - W
Sat 11/28 vs. UMass - W

7-5. I still have us beating Toledo because we seem to have revived this rivalry. Toledo has been losing this game when they really need a win, and having it in their house on national TV seems like the prime opportunity for them to lose this game once again. Toledo could be looking at major national attention with their schedule, as they could be finishing their OOC at 4-0 (or 3-1 with a loss to San Diego State). Then, if they can get past Western, they may be coming up against us with an undefeated or 1 loss record and a possible Top 25 ranking. It would do my Falcon heart good to destroy their dreams with that game, and I would really love to have it be a game of UT at 10-0 or 9-1 and us at 7-3 or better.

If you can't live your dream...find joy in destroying the dreams of others
