Falcon Football Championship Day this Friday.

Post by Warthog »

Just got this message because my kids are in the Falcon Kids Club, but this is open to everyone:

Falcon kids club members and parents come to the student union this Friday from noon to 1:00 p.m. for Falcon Football Championship Day. All fans will be allowed to put on actual Falcon football jerseys (helmets are optional) and take pictures with Falcon Football head coach Gregg Brandon and the GMAC bowl trophy. The person that has the best pose will win a falcon prize pack courtesy of the BGSU Athletic Department. So kid’s club members come to the Falcon Nest in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union this Friday from noon to 1:00 p.m. and show us your Heisman pose.

This event is FREE OF CHARGE and open to the public so feel free to invite your family and friends!

So, let me get this right, this is a gathering for Falcon Kids (read 14 and under) Club members and parents. Presumably many of these 14 year olds and younger are enrolled at their local elementary. So they are inviting kids to just skip on out of school and head over to the Union to put on some jerseys??

Maybe I am missing something- no school on Friday? it was meant to be Saturday?- but this seems to make little to no sense to me.

Any word on when the NEW Assistant A.D. for Marketing and Promotions will be in?????

Anyone can go, but yes DD, I questioned the timing as well. If the event is targeting the kids, why the heck have it during school? Unless they are agressively going after the pre-school crowd (ages 0-3). We could really boost attendance if younguns that age start coming to games.

How about taking a couple of GIANT lineman (with some Coach) to the schools and have the kids do this?

I think that may make an impression and get them (and parents) out to The Doyt?

They are also inviting the Greeks on campus. The Greek House with the best pose will win a free tent at a home football game.

Am I the only one who reads "all Fans" allowed etc., not just kids...they may have sent mailings out to all various groups of boosters etc., but it does'nt appear to be targeting kids per se.

Michael likes to shop at K-Mart.

Seems they have little boys pants half-off.
