Miami is going to be tough again this season. But that's our 10th game of the year, and I'll be nervous for every single one we play in.
AS good as we were, Miami was still the much better team that season.

I must agree with KDog on this one. They were MUCH better and in large part due to Big Ben. On the other hand, this season we have Omar and I fully expect us to do some thumping of our own. This has got to be the year when we get over the "road game" hurdle and I believe this is just the team to do it.

I felt Miami was better, but not by much. BG basically self destructed in the 3rd quarter of both games and handed the ball to Big Ben and the Redhawk offense on our side of the field too many times. BIG MISTAKE. Made it very difficult on our D.

No doubt Miami was better.

Purdue has AN EXTREMELY nice schedule this year and they are returning all 11 starters on Defense and lets face it Stubblefield didnt even make the pros (the all-time leading D1 WR) and Orton always choked in big games, they easily could go 11-0, i see there toughest game being at Wisc and we all know that isnt that tough this year!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Wow. That schedule really does set up well. And lets face it, while Stubblefield wasn't/isn't really NFL material, he was a damn fine weapon to have on the college gridiron.

Missing out on Michigan and OSU helps, having Iowa at home is huge for them, but a #3 pick still seems way high regardless of how bad Orton performed in big games, its a high slot to put a team that's breaking in a new QB. Of course if he comes in and performs and Purdue *does* run through that schedule, everyone will point to Phil Steele as a genius.

Steele puts out a pretty good mag, not without it's mistakes, but still good.

Lindy and Athlon's I've never been much of a fan of.
I'll castrate myself with a powersander before I ever root for Michigan.

The Sporting News lists the Top Game each week for the "major" conferences. In the Big 10 the number one game on September 4th is BG-Wisconsin. It lists BG stats and ends with "Wisconsin, you've been warned."
