Good sign for Suisham?

Post by TG1996 »

I was Googling, and found this story from the weekend in Wheeling, WV...

http://theintelligencer.net/sports/stor ... harity.asp

The local organization, aimed at helping less fortunate kids, is raffling off tickets for a chance to win an autographed football or baseballs.

The football is signed by current Pittsburgh Steeler players Jerome Bettis, Duce Staley, Antwaan Randle-El, James Farrior, Joey Porter, Brian St. Pierre, Larry Foote, Deshea Townsend, Marvel Smith, Chris Hope, Jeff Reed, Chris Gardocki, rookie Shaun Suisham, and head coach Bill Cowher.

Odd enough that a rookie gets in on a team-signed football, especially along side the guy he's battling for a job with (Reed).

Though in retrospect, it does say "signed by", maybe they had Suisham sign it, but with someone else's name....

Still a curious find, I think.

Apparently not, unless one slipped through the cracks here:

Also, he's still listed on the roster at the Squealers official site.

practice squad

Post by jerzyboy247 »

NFL kickers come and go and most teams realize that they should have a solid backup at any position. I have a strong huntch that Suisham will be placed on the practice squad if he loses the job to reed. He currently is not on the active roster but since he was never released he is more than likely on the practice squad for this season.
