Here ye! Here ye! Come one, come all!

I would like to see us play anyone who BG has not traditionally played. The more new opponents (Oklahomas, Wisconsins and Boises of the world) the better. I think a criteria from now on though should be a return trip of the opponent to the Doyt or Cleveland (i.e. Wisconsin), which is kind of what the athletic department has already indicated.

it would just suck cos there wouldnt be a chance in hell to get them to our stadium. and thats a long way to travel
I would like to see us play Arizona! That would kick ass! Then I wouldn't have to drive two hours to the crap hole that is Phoenix to see BG play!

In a way, it would be a home game...for me, anyways.

Plus, Arizona is a school that BG could definately get a 2 for 1 with, imo. They haven't been that good for so long that football isn't the kind of revenue source that it is for most PAC 10 schools.

I was in Huskie stadium when BG went to Washington. My first red-eye flight and one painful-to-watch game. I'm sure things would be different this century.
'87,
That game was about as bad as BG's 58-0 loss at Kansas State in 1997. Mike Foor, Dana's cousin, said the Huskie players were asking the BG offense if they were finally gonna get a first down....in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
I believe we lost that game 48-0.

Give us Washington now and BG would roll them by 25 pts...home or away.

Sadly, your memory is perfect. It was 48-0 and it wasn't even that close. That Huskie team was stacked ... Chris Chandler at QB, Lonzell "The Thrill" Hill at WR and future NFLers Rick Fenney at FB and Jeff Jaeger at PK. I remember looking at their roster and realizing that Fenney outweighed about everyone we had on defense.

It's the only BG game I've ever been to where the Falcons absolutely didn't belong on the same field as the other team.

I'd love to go toe-to-toe with them again, though. The times, they have a-changed!

ROLL FALCONS!(Stole that from Alabama.) I'd love to see the MAC come to an agreement with the PAC-10. I'd love to play UCLA, Cal, USC, Washington, Arizona, etc. (play and beat that is)

'87,

I know BG didn't belong on the same field as Kansas State in 1997....KSU had over 650 yards of offense and BG had 56. It was brutal. Then, that SOB Bill Snyder kept Michael Bishop in the game until there was only 3 minutes left and kept throwing the ball. BG was down 37-0 after 3 and he actually kept throwing the ball! From what I heard, Blackney was so Po'ed after the game he had to be restrained when Snyder attempted to come in and shake hands.
Just a nightmare from start to finish...and I somehow listened to the whole game on the radio. I was a glutton for punishment.

I was at the last Bowling Green-Penn State game. It ended up 48-3. Pretty bad. Not that bad, but pretty darned bad.
