OK, so that one goes 10 deep and he finally shows up.

Apparently the Atlanta Falcon fans don't feel that Cole has much of a shot at making the team (see May 26th poll results):

Of course Cole has proven people wrong all of his life, so why stop now? I think he has a great shot to make the Falcons, but I don't know too much about their other UDFA.

Why would the fans give any love to Cole yet?

He has a shot, especially with a team like Atlanta. The deal will go down in the next few weeks when "real" camp opens.

I was not trying to desparage you...I was just posting the best depth chart website I know for the NFL...it shows all players the team has. My apologies if you took it the wrong way!

FWIW, Magner is wearing #15. I'm not sure if that showed up on the various depth charts linked here, but I just saw some Atlanta training camp video with him and a couple other WR's walking. A nice back shot of "MAGNER 15". :D

A poll like that is bacically meaningless. None of those people know who Cole Magner is. They are going to vote based on school and name. How much does the average Atlanta Falcon fan know about Magner? Nothing.

Strange. Here's a pic from Saturday's practice (from atlantafalcons.com), Cole looks to be wearing 19 again. I *know* my eyes weren't tricking me with that #15 jersey the other day....

Then there's this from the Saturday practice notes:

The early catch of practice: WR Cole Magner, pitted against Kevin Mathis in one on one drills, ran a comeback sideline route on the left sideline with Mathis in his hip pocket the entire time. The ball was released and went outside the sideline, making it so Magner had to stretch out, getting full extension to come up with the snag while impressively keeping his feet in bounds.

One of the writers for atlantafalcons.com posted this in his blog:

"Cole Magner -- the dude catches everything. I mean, everything.

In one-on-one work, he lays out on a 10-yard out, coming up with low grab by rotating his entire body.

His next chance? Runs a fly route down the right sideline, gets position on cornerback James Thornton, the throw from Vick is placed high, he leaps and grabs it.

He's making a case for himself. We'll see how he plays when the "live bullets" are flying."
