According to the new Roster, we have 95 players. I'm not sure how many are on scholarship, I know the maximum is 85 and I suspect we are there or very close to it. And we surely will have some walk-ons to add to the numbers later on. This is a huge change from the time Meyer became head coach. Both he and especially Coach Brandon have increased our depth significantly.
And, overall we are still a young team. The roster lists 54 players who from an eligibility standpoint are Freshmen or Sophomores. It lists 16 Seniors.
Let's hope for another large group of good recruits next Feb. If we get a good class, our program should be very solid in the future.
