While still holding some reservations, I'm excited to see what Coach Lovett is able to do with the defense. As others have said, the D could really be a pleasant surprise this year.

Thanks TG, that was a great read.

I'm excited to hear that Lovett will be implementing elements of a base defense this year. I really think that we have and have had a lot more talent on this team than our former run/pass blitz defense allowed players to show. With a base defense in place there will be more opportunities for players to rely more on their skills and roam a bit more. I think that is great and will have a HUGE impact on our D. In my mind, Jelani Jordan is the one player who can most benefit from this change.
