Is Boise start time really this late?!
http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-f ... ek-05.html according to this link, it says the game will be a 10PM start time. This is the first I have heard of this....Why so late!? (Yes, I understand they are in a different time zone, but 10:00!?!?!)
Dont you think this will affect our guys chances with the game ending at 1:00-2:00 AM our time?

It could be 8 p.m. local (Mountain?) and 10 p.m. Eastern.bgbrandon wrote:now i just checked ESPN's site and they are saying 8pm...SO confused
And ... yes, I think this is a challenge for the team.
This is also the longest road trip the Falcons have taken since the 1992 Las Vegas Bowl.
It isn't going to be easy, on that blue turf, at 10 p.m. our time.
It's 8pm mountain time, 10pm eastern. The reason for it is because it's the ESPN2 Wednesday night game. Yeah it sucks, but we get national exposure and hopefully a great game.

yep, those late kickoffs stink.
we had a couple/three 8pm kickoffs last year on ESPN.
the good part is that it gave us more time to tailgate. the bad part is the games always lasted past midnight thanks to the commercial breaks and long halftime.
for the fresno state game last year, i got home about 12:30, listened to the postgame show on the local sports stations, and then watched the rebroadcast at 2:00am.
i called in sick the next day.
BUT... maybe this'll give ya'll more incentive to come to boise for the game!
the beer, brats and other tailgating fare is on us... especially for those of you actually making such a long trip for a weird gameday.
us broncocountry.com guys will be tailgating at our usual place by the stadium readerboard on broadway avenue right by the stadium. i'll post directions and a picture later... in case some of you can make the trip. visiting fans are always welcome -- especially classy ones like i've seen on this board!

That sounds more like it. Why would ESPN start a game during the week at 10 p.m. if they want people to watch? You'd think they'd put it on primetime, which is usually around 8 p.m.BGSUVA wrote:well according to the Boise State site, game time is 6pm, so I think it is at 8 Eastern
BGSU Class of '07
I just figured they had World Series of Poker re-runs scheduled until 9:30, then Stuart Scott's new show "Sports Jeopardy, Yo!" from 9:30 to 10. Even better this way, I should get to watch the first quarter on my dinner break, and the game should be about over before I have to do anything too strenuous.

The link provided was 24 hrs off for the Uk Uof L game. Its on Sunday not saturday. BGSU has the game time as 8:00 eastern, Boise has game time as 6:05 on their site. My guess is that that first site is crap (actually not a guess). If you have another ESPN site listing the time as well, go with that. I would be much happier with an 8:00 start as well. Bars close at 1:00 in lexington, a 10:00 game would not finish before we'd get kicked out.

Yeah but ESPN has been wrong in the past....it doesn't matter if it is their own programing.
