The good news, bad news scenerio. Lasalle won 35-7, and Sheehan threw 4 touchdown passes. However, in the final 3 minutes he was injured and later had his right arm in a sling. This information was on the JJ Huddle website. No word on the severity of the injury

The early word is that it is a broken collar bone. Coach has got to feel bad about this one. 35-7 lead and your starting QB goes out with an injury.

Here is a lonk to JJ Huddle and a whole set of pictures for that game. Sheehan is #7 in red and white.

Story in the Enquier this morning said it was a collarbone. He threw four touchdown passes and for 152 yards. They had a half time lead of 21-7.

Collar bone injuries? How long do they take to heal? Can it hurt his throwing motion? Will he be back this year?

Could this be a win-win situation for BG where we now get a guy because of the senior year injury who would have left for greener pastures after an incredible year?

Usually I think they're a 4-6 week sort of thing, maybe a hair longer. Unless it's his non-throwing arm, it will definitely hurt his throwing motion until its healed, which may slow the rehab process. Even probably hinder it a bit if it's his non-throwing arm. Put your fingers on your collarbone and make a slow throwing motion, you can feel how much it moves... then imagine throwing with full force.

You might be right about the silver lining thing, although if he's any kind of prospect now, any other teams on his radar would likely see through a collar bone injury as well, I'd think.

Detroit Lions WR Charles Rogers broke his collar bone two straight years. The second one came on something like the first series of downs last year and the first one happened in practice at about week 6-7 of the prior year.

Both injuries ended his season....

I've broken each of my collar bones. The first was a 6 week or so injury, and the other was a worse break and hurt a little longer. In both cases for the first few weeks I could almost not use that arm. Your mobility is so restricted when your collar bone is busted, I cannot even imagine how long it would take to be able to throw a football at a competitive level.

If its his throwing shoulder I have to believe its at least a 3 month injury.

Heard some good news about Tyler today. Found out that I have some family connections to him (that should be good news in itself, but it gets better). First the connection link. He is the nephew (by marriage) of the brother of my uncle (by marriage to my aunt who is legally my dad's sister but biologically his cousin, no not a weird KY thing but a tragic accident and adoption).

Turns out Tyler's injury is not as severe has orginially thought, and through some special casting is able to play. He was supposed to have played today against Moeller (some "thug" cincy school). Also turns out that he did have some legit interest in him from UM, but according to my Uncle is excited and committed to sign and come play for BG. I told my Uncle about the site to hopefully build some more interest with Sheehans family, and to get some more info,.
