Does anyone know who the MVP of the 1982 California Bowl was? The game was played between BGSU and Fresno State.
Thanks to everyone who replies...hopefully someone will know.
1982 California Bowl
Not sure about the MVP, but I know that current Cal head coach Jeff Tedford was Fresno State's QB in that game, and led them in their comeback for the win.

Two MVPs were named (this seems to have been a California Bowl tradition). They were:
Chip Otten, Bowling Green, tailback
Jac Tomasello, Bowling Green, defensive back
I found that on page 358 of the NCAA's Div. I-A/I-AA Football Records Book

Up 28-7 after 3, and gave up 22 unanswered points in the fourth for the loss, the gamewinner coming with 11 seconds left.
