John Lovett becomes the latest coaching God at BGSU....
Finally got the chance to meet Coach Lovett at the Kickoff Reception. Real nice guy, thinks we have some serious talent on D. A coach with his resume and track record knows how to produce.
I'm tellin ya....watch our D this year! The O gets all the press but the D is gonna clinch the title.
GO FALCONS!!! 93 hours.

So many predicting in the 40s
Even throwing out the Kool-Aid drinker at 152, your average prediction must be around 40.
Which one of you coming to the game wants to make a friendly wager of say $20 that you will not put 35 on the Board on Saturday?

Myles, Myles, Myles... everyone knows that wagering on college football is illegal.Myles Longer wrote:Even throwing out the Kool-Aid drinker at 152, your average prediction must be around 40.

Stocco?
I am shocked, SHOCKED to find out that our QB is in the bottom quarter of ALL D1. I am going to write a stern letter to Mr. Alvarez advising him of this fact, and that he should get rid of John Stocco immediately so as to make our offense less inept. I appreciate your astute observation, and for bringing this to my attention.but the Wisconsin offense has been nothing short of inept and is led by a QB that is in the bottom quarter of all of D1 as far as I'm concerned.
Putting on my Mr. Falcon-Know-It-All-Glasses: Nobody can stop our offense! Nobody! We ALWAYS score 51 points against everybody! (well, er, except N. Illinois & CMU). Our offense is unstoppable, and your young players will be too busy adjusting their diaper pins to cover all of our lethal, unstoppable weapons!
On, Wisconsin!
Re: Stocco?
I don't know if Stocco is among the bottom 25" of all starting QBs, but I know he wouldn't crack the 2-deep at BG. I saw him play a couple times, live at the OSU game, and he looks to be average at best to me.Oscoe wrote:I am shocked, SHOCKED to find out that our QB is in the bottom quarter of ALL D1. As for me being the Kool-Aid drinker with my prediction I find that funny. It was meant to be a joke...most here will tell you I'm probably the most pessimistic poster on this board, but I don't make predictions, so I just made something obviously ludicrous...like Wisconsin havng -4 points

Falcons-35 Badgers- 23
Bg will stop plenty of drives close to the goal line because they will be able to concentrate on stopping the run thus leading to a number of field goals for UW... last time I checked Touchdowns are worth a few more points then field goals....
Omar throws 4 TD's
2 to Sanders
1 to Sharon
1 to the Popemobile (who also runs one in for a score)

They did okay with Marshall. And UT in 2003 was an ESPN game. So was NIU that year.mmr wrote:what i hate is it seems BG always has trouble with the Televised games. Has any one else noticed this the last 2 years? besides the bowl games.

"Out of control" prediction!
OK, here goes ...
BG wins. Score? Who cares?
My 10 Fearless Predictions Based On Nothing But Instinct:
1) Calhoun will put up some impressive numbers and bust off some long runs. This will lead to multiple threads following the game concerning our lack of size on the D-line and call into question whether or not we were all too tough on Beckman all these years.
2) Our defensive backs will cause at least one turnover.
3) At least one return (kickoff or punt) will set us up with great field position.
4) Sandman shines ... he's a big game player!
5) This game won't be decided until late in the fourth quarter.
6) At least once during the game, Noah will yell out "The Fabulous Teddy P!"
7) At least twice during the game, Noah will yell out "Can't stop the Popemobile"
8) At least three times during the game, I yell out something that will be followed by "Noah, don't ever use those words."
9) At some crucial point in the game, Mrs. 87 will walk in front of the TV and ask some domestic question, which will cause me to erupt in an incomprehensible series of loud grunts and shrieks.
10) When the game is over, Mrs. 87 will ask me if BG won. When I tell her they did, she'll say "that's nice," and repeat the domestic question raised in #9.
Game on! Can't wait 'til Saturday!!!
