Our Pass Defense?

Post by Rollo83 »

A by-product of the Wisconsin game on Staurday is we still have no idea how our passs defense looks? Stocco only attempted 10 passes and completed 8 all day. We did have a pick in the first half. Not much to go on.

Unfortuantely, a undermanned Ball State team next week will probably amount to a scrimmage. Meaning we'll go into the Boise game with question marks of can we stop the run AND can we defend the pass? Don't be fooled by the Georgia game, Boise will be a tough offense for us to handle. Think Toledo offense in the second half last year against us, only Boise will play it more wide open.

Omar and O will have to bring thier "A" game once again.

Don't read too much into that. The way they were running the ball the first priority for the DB's was run support and that can really open it up for even a mediocre passing attack. That's not to say we don't have some questions in that area but the Wisconsin game was not a real fair test of how well we can defend the pass.

I think to underscore the point, no part of our defense has proven itself capable to date.

Boise State

If Zabransky continues to struggle at QB for Boise State and he plays against you guys.......you have nothing to worry about. I can't believe how bad he and the BSU offense looked against Georgia.

No doubt, rf. I half expected Boise to win that game! THey got shellacked.

But BG will be their first home game....we better be ready for that one.

I will reserve judgement on Boise unitl after the Oregon St. game. Every team can have a bad game. When you have that many turnovers you will get blownout. It does make me feel a lot better about going out there and coming out with a win.
