Waldron and Arnold at Saftey????
Oh gosh this could get ugly. Putting guys that 190lbs at OLB postions is just asking for the same trouble we had at Wisky. Sure it might not burn us at Ball St. but lets get real here. Walron and Arnold are NOT linebackers!! They are defensive backs and need to stay there. I think Briggs needs to get some reps at LB , with his size and speed , we could use it.

Maybe it's time we got "back to basics" on some things as it concerns the type of players we can get recruited and the needs of the program both now and in the future.
First, the goal of the program is to win the MAC and that means winning against the MAC teams... not going helmet to helmet with the likes of the Bernsteins of the world who our legitimate draftees for the NFL.
Second, with the revolutionized pass-happy offensive schemes the MAC schools have (or are progressing to if they haven't already) means you need fewer Big 'uns and quicker lb's and secondary. Or if they are more traditional run on 1st, 2nd and 6, 3rd and 3 offenses you know that we will still need nickel and dime packages because no matter how much film they breakdown they realize about 6 minutes into it that they are in a track meet and will be passing a lot to keep pace.
Net net, to win in the MAC you probably need less size upfront and more speed for any position that lines up 4 or more yards off the ball.
But what the hell do I know I was always just a kicker. Speaking of which, what's up with missing an XP?!
