NOTICE: We’ve officially been dealt our wakeup call
Well, it only took until week two to get it, but after dodging a near loss to Ball State, we’ve officially been dealt our wakeup call. It seems every season a team gets one of these so-called things, and they usually happen after a loss. Fortunately for us, it was after a win. But if this scare from Ball State proves one thing, it goes along with what I say before every single game……it doesn’t matter who we play or where we play them, we must take every game seriously and play it as best we can. We’re not defending MAC Champs, but we are certainly wearing a huge orange and brown bulls-eye this year and we are going to get everyone’s best shot. It also shows when you leave a team hang around and don't put them away, the more confidence they gain, the more confident they get to pull off an upset. We took a shot from Wisconsin and another from Ball State, and guess what - we will from Boise State and Temple and especially from every MAC team the rest of the way. Week-in and week-out, we’d better be ready and prepared and go out there and execute or else we will get knocked off.

Perfectly stated, 33. No titles are ever given...they are earned. Scared? you bet I was. BSU was having fun...they had nothing to lose. We did what we needed to do. Hopefully, the staff can impress on the players the need to be prepared and execute at all times...and not making mistakes.BGSU33 wrote:Well, it only took until week two to get it, but after dodging a near loss to Ball State, we’ve officially been dealt our wakeup call. No doubt 'Freak. Another thing I was thinking about was, as much as I hate having to wait until October for our first home game, after our trip to Boise State, 5 of our last 8 games will be at home and I like the sound of that. So like the wakeup call at Boise State, after three games on the road to start the season, we will have been through the trenches early on, there's no doubt about that. But I'm actually ready to dive back into MAC play again as well. I'm going to enjoy watching us play Boise State on TV and get our first home game against Temple......but I am anxiously excited to play our October 8th game against Ohio! I can't wait for that game.
GO BG!!!
