As usual, factman is correct. It'd be very hard to be a QB and play baseball. I'd heard he was a better baseball prospect than football, so making the decision to concentrate on one sport of the other makes sense.

Good luck to the kid either way. He looks to have a bright future ahead of him no matter what path he chooses.

I don't think it really matters, as I see Omar & Turner being the future of this team for the next 4 seasons after this one. I was hoping to see him play at BG just because he's from the SLL.

Oh well, never hurts to have a good baseball player coming to BG either. The SLL produces a lot better baseball competition than it does football anyways.

Factman,

It's not that I don't believe you . . . I was just stating that I haven't picked that up yet from the kid who plays with him, but they aren't close.

Also, I was making light of his left-handed comment about Turner's eligibility status before the game. Actually I'm quite hopeful that this story is correct, b/c although it's good to keep tabls on the locals and offer when we can, I think we have other areas that need to be further addressed rather than bringing in yet another QB.

i've heard from lots of people that he's not really that good and he's a wimp. Not to take away from anything he's done, but i hear that the coaches do everything they can to get him the ball to pad his stats. I wouldn't want him on my team but being from bghs i would never want someone from that school on my team

I get the feeling AZZ scoops the Sentinel more often than the Sentinel scoops us.

And that's no slight on the Sentinel. Some of you folks are unbelieveably well-connected.
