PLaying a 1-AA team isn't flashy, but it sure beats no home game until Oct. 1st.
Other than the second rate competition it provides a. confidence boost b. less travel c. a home crowd to get fans sucked in when the weather is nice
Look at last year- I was really surprised to walk in to the stadium and see a relatively large crowd for our SEMO opener.
I would trade Wisconsin or Boise for a home game this season before Oct. 1.
(I know they are 1 for 1 deals so it doesn't work, but we are missing out on the home docket. I suppose that is the MAC's fault- if we can host WMU two years in a row why couldn't they have made Ball State come here two years in a row and trade it out with the WMU game???)
