Mid-Major players have won before
The fact is Omar chances of winning the heisman are slim but, they are better than any other mid-major player. A guy by the name of Alex Smith last year from University of Utah made a solid run at the heisman. He came from a Mid-Major and had a solid impacton the voting last year. Omar could be this years Alex Smith but I strongly don't believe he would be a first overall pick. Thats wraped up by Matt Linehart from USC.

That's the problem Schade. Believe me, we aren't against Omar or any MAC player winning the Heisman, but the media pretty much is. 41 TD's and 4 INT's and he wasn't even sniffing any Heisman hype last year. Meanwhile, FRESHMAN Adrian Peterson was at the presentation and had a shot. Peterson plays at Oklahoma and Jacobs at Bowling Green.Schadenfreude wrote:It's a rhetorical question, son. If any QB from a BCS school would have throw for over 4000 yards with 41 TD's and only 4 INT's they would have won the Heisman in a landslide. But because Omar is from BG he wasn't on the radar and even though he is getting some hype this year he isn't going to win it this year either.

That's a totally different era. Heck, Princeton and Yale used to win national championships back in the day too.

One more reason for him to come back next year. Rocketfootball, you should hope he at least gets an invite, and invite may make the decision about his senior year a little easier for him.

While I know what you are geting at, I don't really care either way if he comes back or not. If he goes then BG has Anthony Turner who could turn out to be just as good or even better. One more reason for him to come back next year. I remember when Josh Harris left, everyone said "well BG will fall without Harris." Then Jacobs did what he did last year. And despite that great season, Toledo still won at home. Next season Toledo gets BG at home and that is what really matters, not whether or not Omar is still at BG.
Many people probably expect to see Toledo falter without Bruce next year. I have seen his backup, R-Freshman Clint Cochran, enough to know otherwise. This kid has a stronger arm than Bruce and is almost as accurate despite the lack of experience.

I had to, sorry

Well maybe you should tell me what it is about then RF, because the administrator you all went crying to won't (or hasn't yet).rocketfootball wrote:LakelandRocket wrote:Gimme a break guys.
