HOW ABOUT 11-2.....

Post by 98_BG_GRAD »

A MAC Championship and a victory in the Motor City Bowl....YES in 2005! Everyone around here is so darn negative. So the football team that we all love lost a football game last night to another really, really good team that hasn't lost on their own field in who knows how long. As has been mentioned about 4,368 times on this board since the game started, the team is 1-0 in the MAC and in FIRST PLACE in their division.

Remember last year? This team went to Northern Illinois, looked terrible and was dominated on the road (as is normally the case with this program over the last 5 years unless it is against a team from a BCS conference, but that is a different story). After losing to NIU, the team bounced back and dominated just about every team they played until they visited the Glass Bowl (see previous comment about big games on the road, etc.). The team still went to a bowl game and WON! That can happen again this year. But, this team will not lose to TU and they will beat Miami and they will play either TU or NIU in the MAC title game and they will play in a bowl game AGAIN.

Between now and Miami, this team does not play a team it should not dominate, at least offensively. So they give up 31 a game like they did against Ball State, but they will score 40+ and who knows, maybe the 'D' will improve a little bit along the way.

Let's forget the Smurf Turf and move on to Temple. Let's go out and support this team and follow them to a MAC Championship and another Bowl victory. And, for goodness sake, let's not pile on Omar Jacobs. The guy had a bad game. Show me a great QB that never had a bad game. It happens and he will move on as should we.

GO FALCONS! BEAT TEMPLE!

11-2 would be great. What team are you talking about? This team will struggle to go 8-4

It almost eerie how this season has resembled the start of last seaosn. 1-2 after a game three thumping in someone else's house. Followed by the Temple game to help right the ship. Here's to hoping we can rip through the remaining schedule.
